Our first experiences involved getting working drawings completed and being given a fixed quote. These confirmed that a decision to build with Coastal Homes would be the right one and we proceeded. As we were based in Auckland it was important that we found a building partner that were reliable and competent. After enquiring to several local-based businesses, we opted to go with Coastal because of their excellent communication and service which we knew would be essential building from afar. After bearing with us as we finalised our plans, Coastal Homes were always pleasant, patient, and very accommodating to our changing dates and requirements. We found the entire team that managed our project from start to finish excellent. Angela in the office right up until Alicia with the project management were outstanding and professional, we could have not had an easier ride with the build (and we have built before). They made the entire process a breeze, the builder, suppliers and sub-contractors were all great and there were no surprise costs at the end of the project too. Even now with the build complete and paid for, they have still been equally supportive and attentive as we address finishing touches. It is my pleasure to do a testimonial for Coastal Homes who recently built my new home in Cable Bay. Because I was working in Auckland I needed to engage a reputable firm to do the whole project for me including all Architectural works, Council consents/permits, Utilities, Tradesmen etc, with as few encumbrances on me as possible. From the moment I met with Glen Bradbury and the Coastal Homes Team I was immediately comfortable that my build was in capable hands with people of good integrity, and this was bourn out during the job. We agreed a design and a price, and signed a Master Builders agreement. From there everything continued like clockwork. My main point of contact was their excellent Project Manager Alicia Mavis, who sent me photos every week and ensured I was kept fully informed as to progress throughout the whole job. When I had to do any inspections as per the Master Builders agreement, Alicia walked me through the site, introduced me to all the tradesmen, and answered every question I had. She also liaised with me with advice and better alternatives on some of my choices for the fitout. The Coastal Homes Estimation, Admin, Finance, and Trades people were also professional, friendly, and easy to deal with and their processes were straight forward. The handover was a dream and Glen’s after sales support is second to none. If you are building a new home in this area, I highly recommend engaging with the Coastal Homes Team.

I really made a headache for myself and got out of my depth by trying to keep control of building our new home. I eventually got smart and signed with Coastal Homes and thereafter had a huge relief from the relentless onslaught of specialised detail. The biggest plus was having them cut through compliance requirements and project management logistics like a well-oiled machine. They work like a team, give clear concise info and updates and were happy to explain things when I felt I needed to be more in the loop. Invariably after having queries answered I was confident that everything was on track which allowed me to refocus on family and on my own job. Coastal Homes built us an impressive 2 bedroom home which has even exceeded the expectations of my discerning mother-in-law who has built several new homes over the years and subsequently is qualified to comment. The whole project was completed on time and on budget with no more headaches. My guess is that management know full well that they’ve got some really good qualities within their team.
